About Volkswagen T-Cross

If someone would shrink a Volkswagen Touareg four times, this is what would get: a small cross-over vehicle. Its name is T-Cross and is based on the scalable MQB platform that can be found in the Polo, Golf, Jetta or Tiguan. Just to name a few, from Volkswagen.

Its small exterior dimensions help it to find a parking spot easier. The bigger ground clearance will not make a curve vanish, but at least to not count too much while parking over it. The front suspension is McPherson type, tuned for comfort. The rear suspension though, it was a semi-independent type. That wasn't so comfy for the rear seats.

The interior was fresh and youth-oriented. The 2.56 m (100.8”) wheelbase offered enough room for the rear passengers too, and the high greenhouse offered enough headroom. It had an infotainment unit that featured an 8” touch-screen display fitted as standard on all the range (depending on the market). It was compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It couldn't have leather seats, but the R-Design version had seats that offered better lateral support.

Under the hood, Volkswagen offered a wide engine range, from 95 hp up to 150 hp gasoline and diesel, all turbocharged. The standard transmission for some models was a 5-speed manual, while others had received a 6-speed manual and even a 7-speed dual-clutch.
