About Audi Q6 e-tron quattro
Audi introduced the Q6 e-tron in 2025 as an utterly new SUV, designed from the ground up to be an EV and sharing its underpinnings with the Porsche Macan EV.
Volkswagen Group put a lot of money and resources into developing the Premium Platform Electric (PPE for short) that it used for the Porsche Macan. Then, it offered it for the 2025 Audi Q6 e-tron, an SUV that slit between the electric versions Q4 and the Q8. Unlike those vehicles, their new sibling was developed from the ground up to be an EV-only affair. Furthermore, Audi tried to create the image of a high-tech futuristic vehicle capable of transporting its customers over long distances in comfort and a luxurious ambiance. In addition, thanks to the new 800-volt system, the SUV could charge from 10 to 80% in 21 minutes for an estimated range of over 275 miles (443 km). If an 800-volt charger wasn’t available, customers could do parallel charging. The SUV had two ports, one on each rear quarter panel, and two chargers that could be used at the same time for quicker replenishing times.
The 2025 Audi Q6 e-tron followed the same design language as its brothers, featuring the already-known Singleframe grille at the front. Its slim matrix LED headlights had an organic shape and were swept back towards the sides of the vehicle. On the lower side of the front fascia, the automaker placed a broad bumper featuring a pair of narrow and tall side scoops for the air curtains, while the apron housed an additional split air intake where the radar for the advanced safety systems was installed.
Audi wasn’t at its first SUV when it penned the 2026 Q6 e-tron, and the composed design of the vehicle confirmed that. Even though it still followed the traditional proportions of an ICE-powered vehicle with a front nose, it was an EV. The design team created creased lines on the front fenders extended towards the front doors, while the rear ones were decorated with a crisp line that continued onto the taillights. Audi was focused on creating an aerodynamic vehicle, so it enhanced the Q6 e-tron with a set of side sills and a roof spoiler. At the back, the OLED taillights were slim and horizontal, and they were connected via a red stripe that ran across the tailgate’s width. Under the bumper, the automaker installed a wide diffuser that wasn’t used to increase downforce but to reduce ground effect.
Inside, Audi followed its “Progress through technology” idea and created a high-tech ambiance for its customers. Fronting the driver was a curved panoramic display, with a seamless transition between the 11.9-inch screen for the instrument panel and the 14.5-inch touch-sensitive one used for the MMI infotainment system. In addition, a third 10.9-inch touchscreen was available for the side passenger, where they could monitor navigation, play music, or watch movies. The latter activity could be performed easily since the driver couldn’t see what was on that display, so it wouldn’t distract them. Audi focused on comfort and luxurious items, too, so customers were hugged by the high-bolstered front seats covered in vegan leather or other recycled fabrics. At the same time, in the back, the automaker placed a split-folding (40/20/40) bench seat where three people could sit comfortably, with loads of headroom thanks to the tall greenhouse.
Under its skin, the 2025 Audi Q6 e-tron had a 388 PS (383 hp) electric drivetrain that put in motion all four wheels as standard at the car’s launch. Later, Audi offered an RWD system. The lithium-ion battery pack consisted of 12 modules of 180 prismatic cells that could store up to 100 kWh of energy (94.9 kWh net), which ensured the vehicle a maximum range of 381 miles (613 km), which was more than enough for covering long distances.
