About Peugeot 4007

The French carmaker added a 0 to their model number system in 2008 when they unveiled the Peugeot 4007.

As innovative as the new number was the car’s design, apart from Peugeot’s traditional series.

The new model featured a huge grille and swept back headlights, creating an appealing design.

While the Peugeot 4007 was designed for both boulevard cruising and off-roading, its mere found clearance and the soft suspension stopped it from becoming a strong rival to the Land Rover or the Jeep.

Inside, the cabin was fitted with hard, easily scratchable plastics, however, everything looked well put together. All controls were intuitively placed and within easy reach. Switching to the 4WD mode was easy to do by turning a dial on the console.

In the rear cabin, the passengers enjoyed great comfort. Besides the decent legroom and headroom, the rear seats could be adjusted.

For larger families, the 4007 had two child-sized additional seats in the trunk, thus the SUV offered seating for 7.

The trunk was well designed and Peugeot adopted a system that allowed the rear seats to fold down by themselves, using a lever located in the trunk.

Under the hood, the Peugeot 4007 had a Diesel engine that developed 156 hp. To align with the emission standards, the 4007 was equipped with a particulate filter.

The Peugeot 4007 was a little pricey compared to its competitors, but was nevertheless a practical and economical SUV.
